The Swedish word återSKAPA means reCREATE.
återSKAPA is a creative reuse, design, and education center. We work with playful design processes to expand subject knowledge, increase environmental awareness and stimulate creativity, initiative and ingenuity.
We don’t see waste material as garbage, but treat it as an opportunity for creation, communication and education.
återSKAPA is built up around a material bank, full to the rafters of discarded industrial waste where items are given a new purpose in our creative workshop.
We provide tailor-made workshops for educators, children groups, and companies, in an environment that inspire people to think creatively about waste. We also offer Drop-in art one Sunday a month, where members from the community, young and old, are invited to come spend time together in our creative workshop.
återSKAPA is currently financed though a three-year grant from the Swedish Heritance Fund and has been running for two years. We collaborate with around twenty partners that donate materials to our organization.
